The New Two Do List- Part Two

As shared in “The New Two Do List- Part One”, I had an aha moment when I realized that I will always have things I need, and want, to do such as living life to the fullest.  My negative experience with my To Do list was because of the way I was seeing it and the way I was holding it in my consciousness.

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes.”   Marcel Proust (1871-1922)

“When we are unable to find tranquility within ourselves, it is useless to seek it elsewhere.” Francois de la Rochefoucauld (1613-1680)

My Next Step

I decided to look at my To Do list as an opportunity to prioritize and to trust more.  I decided to pick 1-3 goals To Do each day, relax more, and trust that the rest would easily get done.

Guess what happened?  I was more comfortable with my To Do’s (my top 1-3, and others), everything important was getting done, I trusted more (myself, others, the universe), and I began to realize the quality and energy of my daily top commitments was increasing and expanding.  For example, from “going to the gym” to “nurturing my body through exercise.”  In addition, I became gentler with myself and others. After all, others may have their top 1-3 To Do’s, and I might not be on their list!

My Next Step- The New Two Do ListSM

After a few weeks of consciously choosing 1-3 priority goals To Do each day, I woke up and thought, “It’s my New Two Do List.  I will pick two (2) things Two Do each day and trust that the rest would happen with grace and ease.”  Now my Two Do’s are more open, trusting, and self-nurturing.

And as I was completing this blog, I happened to pick up piece of paper with the quote below.  Finding a quote was not on my Two Do list, it came to me!

“Besides the noble art of getting things done, there is the noble art of leaving things undone.  The wisdom of life consists of the elimination of non-essentials.”  Lyn Yutang (1895-1976)
